# Georgia due diligence deadline calculator

> Day 1 of a Georgia due diligence period is the day after the Binding Agreement Date. Count every calendar day, weekends and holidays included. The period ends at 11:59 p.m. on the last day, unless the contract sets an earlier time, and a deadline on a weekend or holiday does not move.

## Work it out yourself

1. Find the Binding Agreement Date on your contract.
2. Add the number of due diligence days. That date is the last day.
3. The window closes at 11:59 p.m. on that day (Georgia time), unless your contract says earlier. Your notice to walk away must reach the seller the way the contract says before then.
4. If the last day is a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, it does not move: plan to settle everything on the last weekday before it.

> Example: signed Wednesday, October 28, 2026, with 10 days. Day 1 is Thursday, October 29. The window closes at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, so plan to decide by Friday, November 6.

## The interactive calculator

https://www.buywisehome.com/guide/tools/due-diligence-deadline also builds a day-by-day plan (book the inspector on day 1, inspect around a third of the way in, read the report and disclosure, send the request with time to spare) and a calendar reminder.
