When does your due diligence end?

For a Georgia home purchase. Two numbers from your contract give you the exact deadline and a plan for every day before it.

How we work it out

  • Day 1 is the day after the Binding Agreement Date.
  • Every calendar day counts, weekends and holidays included.
  • The period ends at 11:59 p.m. on the last day, Georgia time, unless your contract says otherwise.
  • A deadline on a weekend or holiday does not move. Only the closing date does.
  • Your notice to walk away must reach the seller the way your contract says, before the period ends.
  • This assumes the standard Georgia purchase contract. Special stipulations in yours can change it.
